Peninsula Ballet Center, the home of Ballet Fantasque, is located in the beautiful studios of the Pacific Grove Art Center at 568 Lighthouse Avenue, Pacific Grove, CA. The school serves as a training ground for the company. Classes are offered Monday through Saturday, year round for children ages 5 and up, teens and adults, beginning levels through professional. Pointe work and adagio are also included. Students have the rare opportunity to study the style of Ballet Russes, which blends Russian and French influences and emphasizes the development of fluidity and beauty of movement as well as technique. In addition to ballet, students learn character, ethnic and interpretive dance through rehearsals for performances. Children are also included in the shows. Performance participation through Ballet Fantasque is open to all dancers in the county. This company operates on a part-time basis, offering three to four performances a year.
